O Christmas Tree

I love ornaments from the past, too. But I've seen the decorater type of trees. (My parents even tried that, back in the late fifties, as I recall.)

I've never seen decorator-type trees outside of department stores and magazines! My parents' ornaments have more history than ours do but they're all individuals. Happy holidays to you-

One year, we couldn't find the box of ornaments, and relucantly (my family was due to arrive shortly) went out and bouught two boxes of red baubles. We were most relieved when the box was found the following year, as the matched set didn't seem real.

At our Christmas, my father got out six mugs, none matching, and reminded us of an old employer of his (in the antique trade), who called such things "a harlequin set".
