Taking a sickie

I miss the journal world. There was once a time where I'd clear my schedule so I could delve into this precious online land where I could say what I wanted without worry of it biting me in the ass. I really needed it back then. And it was so much fun! The friendships I had were as inluential has those I had in the outside world. But I haven't done ( Read more... )

I move for school, actually. I needed to find a school that would be willing to pay my way as well as have a good enough program. It's hard when you limit yourself to one country. Truthfully, international schools are a lot easier to get into. Simply because by taking foreign students, their reputations increase.

Awww shucks. :-)

That's okay. While we all miss you, we understand. It's your life, it's your journal. You are free to come and go as you please. We'll be here either way.

LOL! Not only do I not have an MP3 player, I don't even have a CD Changer! I have to switch CDs after each one is done, the old-fashioned way! :p

Good on you! It makes me happy to hear I'm not the last technologically challenged soul out in the modern world.

I only got my CD-changer this year. Holds five cds! And it hasn't acted up on me yet.

Yet.

You mean you actually go to the trouble of answering my questions? That's so nice, that's so lovely... that was such a wasted opportunity on my part, I should have asked for personal and embarrassing black mail potential filled information..... dang...

Mr Geek also owns a cd player, although I'll admit, it does play mp3 cd's. I use my phone as my mp3 player though so I guess... oh no wait.... didn't you ban the owning of mobile phones...

ummm... ok, I remember fraggle rock... oh here's one, can you remember the name of the dog off hand?

Anyway, hope you put your sick day to good use and your spirits are that little bit higher. Alternatively you could DRINK some spirits and just get higher...

I was sorting through my Vinyl the other day, my neice (10) took a look at one of my lp's and asked "how does that fit in the cd player?"

..... have you ever felt old?

?;O)

I don't know if there is anything I could tell you that I haven't already confessed to half the world. :-P

I never banned mobiles. I just don't like being that easy to get ahold of. That and I hate admitting I'm not very skilled at using them. Especially the ones with all those crazy features.

I know the dog you're talking about, the companion of the man who owned the house, right? The same dog that was in Jim Henson Storeybook Theatre. Sadly, I do not remember his name. Maddening it is.

Ugh. Yes. Just the other day I was trying to explain to a child what a cassette tape was. He never got it.

Old, old, old. But I'm getting over it.

Half the world... ianhmoore June 25 2006, 14:48:29 UTC
Well gosh darn it, I'm part of the other half of the world who still doesn't know! Damn me for living under a nicely decorated and comfy rock.

I'm good at using my own mobile, work gave me another one, I admit, I can just about make phone calls on it.

Sprocket. That was the dogs name. He ruled.

You're not getting over it, you're just forgetting that it matters...
?:OP

Enjoy your weekend!
