I feel like I'm on the verge of a tantrum these days. Every day that my transfer didn't come I got a little grumpier. Now that I have my transfer I'm stressed out about moving, apartment-hunting and working the graveyard shift. So I'm feeling pretty pissy these days.
China would be an interesting place to travel to. I've never been there but my dad went there on business years ago. China is one of the places I'm planning to visit after I move (and New Zealand too).
I think you're allowed to feel a tad pissy. It's a lot going on at once and you've got to let out the tension somehow. But it's also gotta feel good, right? After all, you've wanted this for awhile. So it's a mix of stress and excitement.
I'm a bit nervous at the prospect. I consider myself fairly well-travelled but China is on another level. It's definitely a place I'd be weary on going alone, or without connections. But if I do go, it'll be an incredible experience to be sure. And I've learned to never turn down opportunities for new experiences.
Aye, I've always wanted to go back myself, but life keeps getting in the way. I think NZ is a playground for those with a sense of adventure. Tried that cheap fizzy plonk "Bernadino's" yet?
It's definatly "choice".
Anyway, sounds like you're turning into someone who's bothered by what other people think... is this true? Should I be scared now? ?:OP
I've learned that there's nothing wrong with letting off small bits of steam at a tijme, but there's a time and a place. But keeping it all inside and waiting for the damn to burst just doesn't do anyone any good (especially yourself!).
I'm glad things are going well for you and hey, even if the updates are sporadic, it's still good to hear about where your journey through life has taken you.
Have a great weekend, lets hope it's a "stellar" one....
It is definitely made for adventurists. They literally have every extreme sport known to humanity. Living here prevents me though from taking a lot of it in.
By what other people think? Never! I guess I have become a little frustrated, thanks for the reminder to shrug things off a little more.
Thank you. I'm hoping once I finish this bloody degree I'll have a lot more time to write again. I miss it a lot. Just as I miss peering more often into your life. ;-) How is that going for you lately anyway?
Good to know you can shrug things off, don't mistake that with letting anyone walk all over you though. Although in all fairness, I doubt you would.
My life? It's ok, new job has me worked to the bone, but so far, no breakdowns or psychotic rampages, so it can't be that bad. Going back to Canada in August for 2 weeks. You should have warned me that the people were so nice there and actually....... normal... ?:OP
(I still piss them off though by pointing out that they DO say "eh" ha ha ha).
I'm so behind, I had no idea you were in NZ! Anywho, geek that I am, I want to go visit all the settings of LoTR. The countryside just looks so beautiful...
Yeah... No worries! I've been lax on keeping up with the goings on of the online world as well. Neither of us are as prolific as we used to be, ya?
I've been here for a little under a year, it's been interesting. Unfortunately I've been so clogged with work that I haven't really enjoyed it the way you can on holiday. But the people are amazing and that is everything.
I'll stop babbling, though. How is school progressing for you? Almost wrapped up? Any exciting news?
