I finally bought a car. I lasted a month without one, which is three weeks longer than I lasted after my last move. It's my very first non-European made vehicle. A 1996 Toyota Tercel in burgundy and grey. I assure you it is ugly. But it cost me seven hundred bucks and it runs amazingly well for something that age ( Read more... )

1996 is 'that age'? :) My Volvo is 1994... still runs well :) (But then again, as you know, those cars are bulletproof!)

That's true, I guess ten years isn't ancient. But if you could see the car, you'd understand why one would think so. I don't think it's spent much time indoors.

Volvos are fantastic to drive. I never worried once about breaking down. Have you hard yours a long time?

You better not have crashed said car! If you have, I swear, I'll ..I'll... um... well I probably won't do anything but make comments about women drivers in general, but hey, that would be just like me wouldn't it! Very insensitive!
