Weddings are always like that. (That is, they can never be over soon enough!) Eloping is TOTALLY under-rated.

Fortunately, I didn't truly lose anything of grand value. All my good furniture was and is being stored at my aunts, the stuff I picked up in Mali etc. And I have been able to salvage some things that haven't been too badly damaged. The only thing is, it's going to take some time to make the building inhabitable again and by the time that's done I'll be leaving anyway. So for the next month it looks like I'll be commuting a lot more than desirable. :-P

Well, I've been staying with my aunt. On her farm. About forty-five minutes out of the city. In Irish-time, that's a fair enough distance. Considering it takes about five hours to drive across the whole country. I've been so spoiled. :-P
