1. This is the first, very first in over five years, St. Patrick's Day I've had off to myself. No gigs, no bar to run, nothing. It should feel good but instead I find myself wishing I was back in Lim with the guys ( Read more... )

Ummm... Well... I'll have to find a sort of full-time job, of course. And a place to live. I'll have to decide where to live, I guess, before finding a flat. You know, what country, and then what city. Maybe then would be the time to find a job. Ummm...

So what was my hurry to finish all about?

I haven't tried this because I don't have any pets, but I've read that rubber dish washing gloves (like the yellow ones) work to remove pet hair quite well.

Thanks, I did try it and it did kind of work, got off the largest fuzz bits. Too brilliant!

I can relate to the negative bank account balance. I figure that once I move to Vancouver it'll be another month before I can afford to ship all my stuff out there.

If there's a way to get cat hair out of clothing, I have yet to discover it.

I was going to see Water when it was playing here. But it was only showing in the evenings, and I work evenings so I never did see it. But now that you've reminded me of it, I've added it to my loooong Wish List on Amazon.

You're moving to Vancouver? That's lovely then. I'd love to visit again, it's so vibrant.

Heh. Gotta love wish lists. Hopefully soon I'll remember they're created for other people to buy things for you, not for you to remember to buy yourself the next day. :-P

I've only been to Vancouver once, when I was six years old, and I don't remember a thing. So I have no idea what to expect! The only reason I'm going out there is that it's really easy to get a full-time day shift (at Canada Post, who I'm currently working for). If I stayed in Ottawa my options would be to stay part-time, or to go full-time but get stuck on nights. So if I have to go to Vancouver to get full-time and to get days, I'm going to Vancouver! I've heard good things about it (except for the rainy climate) and I'm looking forward to checking out a new city.
