i got a tattoo on monday. i'd been meaning to do it since last summer but had never gotten around to it until now. i spent the entire morning psyching myself out by imagining getting hepatitis (despite statistics showing trends to the contrary), but the artist took a brand-new needle out of its package in front of me so i suppose i shouldn't have

when i was training for the memory competition in high school, we had to take 10 minutes before competing to look at a mandala and center ourselves, and it helped immensely with concentration and calmness etc.... this is a beautiful and tasteful tattoo, meg, for a beautiful girl, it's so intricate and lovely, and i'm so happy you went through with it, because i think we all tend to get terrified of the permanence of tattoos, which is silly.

now can you help convince me to get mine? =)

yeah, that was me. i don't consider it a serious tattoo i guess because it was stick-and-poke. i'm thinking of getting a huge design on my forearm. that's as far as i've gotten though, haha.
