Buttons are pieces of either metal, wood or bone that fasten clothing together. They can also be tiny round pieces of sugar candy. I don't imagine pushing on candy or fasteners would turn anyone into a duck.

My mother said my father could turn people into things, which probably includes ducks. That's how they met. Not with ducks, though, I think it was a lizard. Maybe two lizards.
