I found the idea of Ennis finally coming full circle and healing, with Jack at hand, to be so utterly satisfying....The lyricism of this final chapter haunts me.
Marian, a truly amazing work. It was my priviledge to watch it happen; and my deep joy to read each chapter as it was given birth. I thank you so much for sharing this vision of beauty and hope for 'our boys' with us.
Fantastic. This story has been a real pleasure to read. You're a very talented writer and I hope we'll see more of your efforts. Speaking for myself, I don't mind waiting for chapters if I know they will eventually arrive. And now that Outland has ended I can rest a little easier knowing your Ennis and Jack have found a path to happiness in a hostile world. BTW, kudos to you for basing their physical appearances on the OS story. So few fics go that route. That bit of mundane detail makes their love story somehow a little more precious. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!
Thank you. I did actually draft out an epilogue in my head but I didn't include it as it would have twisted the story too much away from what I was trying to achieve. I may post it one day. And I may write some one-shots too.
Ah Kathy, don't feel like a wuss :) I cry over stories that end too. I guess that's why we write fanfic. Thank you so much for sticking with this story and always commenting. It was greatly appreciated.

No, you've been more help than I could ever hope for.

As for the physical descriptions, I find OS Jack and Ennis endearing in their non-Heath and Jake way. Just ordinary men trying to struggle along.
