I thought I'd mostly done with Brokeback fanfic, but there are a couple of things which still gnaw away at my brain. This story arose out of one of them. It won't be to everyone's liking but I hope it will at least be worth reading. All I ask of readers is to not jump to lots of early conclusions.

Well, I'm glad he is here and checking things out and also getting to know the ins and outs of the ranch. I think Jesse is a hands off if he knows he has people he can trust to run things but boy if things get out of hand I would not be surprised to see him running it all by himself. As for the talk they heard well it is none of their business but they make it theirs anyhow Joe

Ellis's past seems even more dismal that I first thought. It seems he and Jesse are even more far apart than Ennis and Jack were. I hope they are able to find a way to be together, but if that is not your intent I think it would still be a terrific story. I was so happy to see that you updated, I have been thinking a lot about your story here and checking daily for updates.
