The Outland Chapter 14 bmshirts August 24 2008, 03:22:56 UTC
Great chapter!! I'm glad that OMT found out and that Ennis had stood by Jack and been there for him. I hope Jack's father realizes what he's done when he tries to run the ranch without them.
Lureen is a stone-cold bitch. She has known why Jack didn't want to return to Texas but insisted that he say the words to her. The quiver in her voice makes me think it hurt her more than she would admit. I hope so. It's great that Ennis insists on going to Childress with Jack. He's really committing to his man now. I hope Rob takes it well and doesn't turn into another L.D. or OMT!
The two men need to find some land of their own and move the trailer there asap. I hope they don't return to the ranch as long as OMT is alive.
I think Ennis might be pleasantly surprised at his girls reactions when he tells them.
Thanks for this wonderful update. Carole

This was quite the eventfilled chapter. Which by the way was a total surprise today. I was so happy to see it listed. You really do give us a great story. His dad is the consumate ahole isnt he? But this time he shot himself in the foot so to speak. Now he will either have to pay for his slave labor or do it himself. He deserves to never have any more help in his life. To treat his son the way he did. I feel sorry for the mother however. I dont think she would ever have stood for that if she could have done something about it. I hope they figure something good out for their future.. Thanks again for this great chapter. janice

It was too good to be true at the beginning- holiday spirit with all of their family- a really good life
if only there were no OMT
what an as**- snooping in his sons trailer and under the bed- sick
but what now?
I'm glad Ennis stood by his man, otherwise it would have been too much for Jack.
It will serve OMT right to be stuck alone with all the work. But Jack has paid for many things in the past- he should claim back his money.
Poor Sibyll- it's a miracle to me why she's still staying. Money???
Loved their time at Brokeback and their memories
wonderful chapter as always
I sooo love this story and your writing
thanks
Paula

An amazing chapter. I loved the Christmas with the whole family then the way they got the ranch running so well. I'm very sorry that Jack's father had to be such an asshole about things. I'm hoping Rob will handle things maturely and accept his father's life. I'm not so sure I like them going to Childress but maybe it will lead to new and wonderful things. Joe
