The truth is always hard joetheone September 21 2008, 01:31:07 UTC
These things are always hard for family and friends. I know that my own family was disappointed in me when I came out and then time heals those wounds if they truly love you and well yes I can understand Bobby being upset and feeling betrayed but in the end I hope he comes around and accepts his Dad and Ennis's relationship. The wedding sounded nice it was great how the ceremony hit Ennis with his feelings over Jack. Alma and Ennis sort of came to an unspoken understanding and that is good. You do not have to answer my comments it does not bother me at all. Joe

your realism and your romance are a heady mix

save your energy for the story and don't worry about thanking me for thanking you

Rob’s behavior was very believable. He is very hurt and disappointed but it’s a good sign that he asked Ennis where he can find them. Hopefully one day he can like Junior see that this is the only way for his father to be happy and that his father always will love him.
Looking forward for more.

So many authors of happy AU!fic are afraid to portray the potential pain and intensity of Jack and Ennis revealing themselves to their families; and so they instinctively choose the easiest of the several possible and imaginable outcomes, rushing to get the kids reconciled with their gay parents ( ... )
