well WELL WELL WELL seriously though the layers and imagery in this are mindblowing, as are the literary references (which, hot damn, my ultimate weakness), and just. the poetic-prose style? is gorgeous. WRITE A BOOK. I'D READ IT. but the multifaceted characters you have here are so intense and, just, like, interesting, which is kind of rare. like your louis? i get he's supposed to be the asshole here but i've just got this massive INTEREST in him which makes me sort of want to bundle him up in a big blanket and take him away from the world. can't wait to see where this goes!!
my favourite book is called "if nobody speaks of remarkable things." if you have not read it, i will be both surprised and overeager for you to do so. the prose in that novel and in this story are so, so contained yet so, so extensive and i am so glad to have read this.

i have not read that before but i just amazon-ed (is that a word??) and i read the first pages that amazon would allow me to preview and it sounds very interesting! i really love the prosy stream-of-consciousness technique (which i use extensively in my writing) so i think i'll definitely give it a read!
