Respectful Evangelism

Who the heck are Lisa and Anna? And aren't they both equally disrespectful? Who says you get to try to convince others of your worldview? One's worldview is shaped by the experience of being an individual, with identities and beliefs being taken as seen fit, and all molded to fit the experience of the person in question. I don't think worldviews are transferable, and so assuming that one will be open to receiving your worldview is just arrogant and naive.

That's it. Your comment officially replaces my entry as far as I'm concerned.
Also, you are not Lisa. I think Lisa is being more disrespectful. Or as you write, she is "arrogant and naive".
I wrote "One could be as open to the other's ideas as they would want the other to be to theirs". And I see your point - the amount of openness one should expect when discussing their worldview is none.

Dear Lisa,

Worldviews are, to a limited degree, transferable. Because interaction with others is one of the most important experiences.
Anna may agree and learn something from Lisa, but Lisa should not expect it. That expectation is the disrespect in evangelism. And barring that expectation, how many people would preach?
