I have an INTENSE WEAKNESS for Pakku's grumpiness. It's funny, I hated him SO MUCH when I first watched "Siege of the North" for being such an ass to Katara, but....haha, well, I didn't like Jet at first either, so there you go. XD

OMG, Iroh's back! His reunion with Zuko was great ... that's probably my favorite part of this. They're so sweet. <3

Now, it could be I just wasn't paying attention ... but was it Zuko who dropped the blanket on Jet? I assume so, but it could also have been Smellerbee or Longshot, I guess. That was a sweet part as well, very simple and touching.

I also LOVED Jet's not so epic battle with Piandao. Oh, Piandao, you're always so wise and helpful. <3 That was perfect.

In case you didn't notice, I really liked this chapter. Can't wait for more!

It isn't stated outright, but yes, Zuko was the one who draped the blanket over Jet -- presumably he found Jet out there when he got up in the morning and thought he looked too cold. <3 <3 <3

And I'm ALSO really glad you liked the fight with Piandao! I always worry that the "training" fights will be dull because the stakes aren't very high ^_^;;;

And Jet finally got a CLUE! I think my favorite part was the headturn when Zuko said he wasn't in charge. I totally pictured it in DRAMATIC SLLLOOOWWWMOOOO. I was surprised Zuko actually complied easier to Jeong Jeong than Aang though. He has sorta been domesticated in this fic. HE COOKS WITH AN APRON OMG! I have to go LOL right now.

HAhaha yeah, Zuko's chilled out a little in this timeline! And I'm sure he's feeling self-conscious about his Firebending, too -- it HAS gotten a little rusty over the summer -- enough to make him more inclined to just shut up and do what Jeong Jeong says. Within reason XD

Man, I'm so glad that the "lol Firebenders and spicy food" joke actually came across, I was worried I made it too subtle for anyone to get! XD

I'm also really glad that you felt like Gen had a point -- obviously his view of things is pretty slanted, but I didn't mean for him to be completely unreasonable. Especially since he doesn't know Zuko as well as Jet does - he doesn't have much reason to take Zuko's word for anything right now. :(

I'm happy you enjoyed the scene with Jet and Piandao! I'll admit, I had a lot of fun writing it, but I always worry those kids of scenes will be dull and heavy-handed ^_^;;

And you know, NGL -- the image of Zuko's leaf exploding into a FLAME OF LURVE when Jet shows up was one of my favorites from this chapter. XD
