Hahah yeah, I can imagine it would be pretty humiliating for Zuko to be knocked back down to beginner level -- Aang hated it, and he'd never Firebended before! *laughs* Eh, he'll manage ;3

Love, love Jet's realization that Li never was and Zuko has always been, and that he LOVES Zuko.

I am really, REALLY glad to hear it *_______________*

Come to think of it, pretty much the entire last paragraph of your comment is making me *____*

Thanks for that <3 <3 <3

Gah! I finally had some time to sit down and catch up on readin these and DAMN I'm glad I did! Jet is FINALLY coming around! Lord I hope he does something about it before things (inevitably) get worse.

Woot for the awesome old men! They rock my socks!...Is King Boomi (sp?) not there yet?

Zuko is really lucky! He gets the best teachers! :D

Silly as it sounds, it means quite a lot to me that you care! I hope you aren't disappointed with how things end up going <3

As for Bumi, that part of canon's pretty much the same -- he's in "New Ozai," thinking neutral jin thoughts and biding his time 'til the eclipse ^_-

AND YES, ZUKO TOTES DOES <3

Thanks so much for taking the time to comment! :D

I've spent all week trying to think of something to say in response to this, and remain unable to find the right way to put it!

BASICALLY: I know that this pairing is not your bag, nor are m/m slash fics generally speaking, and I had made my peace with the fact that you probably wouldn't be reading this story -- it's long, and that's a lot to slog through if it's not something that's working for you.

So I was completely surprised to find this comment, and really...really pleased and happy and flattered and generally floaty-hearts-and-sunshine when I read it, because not only did you very kindly dive into this thing in the first place, it seems to actually be doing for you what I so dearly hoped that it would -- telling a story you could care about, even if it's not one that's particularly well-tailored to what you'd usually read. I realize how inarticulate this is, but honestly -- I am really really really really really REALLY glad that this story brightened your week, and I hope that it continues to be enjoyable for you for the ( ... )

Old masters yay yay yay!!! I was a little bit like, why are the big badasses wasting their time playing with Jet and his ragtag bunch, but I suppose a) they do need to coordinate what they're doing during the eclipse and b) more interestingly, Iroh is a man playing a long game. Assuming he intends to put Zuko on the throne of the Fire Nation, OF COURSE he is very interested in Zuko's lover. So OF COURSE he's going to get his White Lotus buddies to mentor Jet and get him to grow up into whatever Iroh sees him as being able to be - what I want to know is, does Iroh see him as Zuko's consort back in the Fire Nation, or as a leader in the Earth Kingdom? Where is the king of Ba Sing Se in this version of events? Hm, I am confused in several respects. Ping and Zuko were just under Lake Laogai rescuing Jet, so the Dai Li never destroyed it to hide the evidence... but Aang must still have rescued Appa from it? But how did they find it, if Jet was never brainwashed... well, anyways, am intrigued by the notion that Iroh is now making ( ... )

When this fic is done posting, I'll definitely be putting up a timeline of eeeeeeeeeeeverything that's going on and WILL go on, starting with "The Serpent's Pass" and going all the way up through the finale. A lot of things -- like what happened with Aang&Co in regards to Long Feng and Lake Laogai -- are pretty different, but in a way that doesn't have enough impact on THIS story to really be part of the text. But I figure people are curious, so I'll lay it aaaaaaaaallllllllllll out like the giant nerd I am! ;3 ( ... )
