Today's temperatures began at -1 this morning, with a high of 4 degrees this afternoon. When I went to pick up Bella at my mother's at 5 (after dark, sigh) it was so cold, the car wouldn't start. Rain, rain, go away... my roof can't handle it!
The fucking roof is leaking! All this damn rain....We've noticed once or twice recently that when it rains hard, there's a spot on the ceiling in the kitchen that'll leak a drop or two. "Your daughter's potty mouth" was the subject line of an email I got this morning from my mother. Apparently, Bella has learned (and learned to use in perfect context) the phrase, "what the fuck?" I donated blood today! I've never done that before. I always feel like I should, when I see the Red Cross Urgent Need! signs, but I HATE needles. I went with Kate, which probably helped, and we got fair tickets in exchange for a pint of blood.
