In a valley

Um, I haven't been writing much lately because I have been really depressed actually. It's bad enough that I have to live with all the shit going on in my head, I really didn't feel like writing them down. I'll get over it, this is just a rough patch, but for now I am pretty miserable ( Read more... )

ah shit. wish we'd known you were going to Century City...chris & i saw finding neverland there last night.

anytime you're alone, give me a call. i'd go with you to the new bev, but i didn't really like before sunrise much...but perhaps i was too young to get it at 14/16? i want to see Nellie McKay but are tix really like $25?!? i saw her do a borders in-store in dc back when her album came out earlier this year. she's good. a friend of mine speaks highly of the opening act, Bonnie McKee, too.

Yeah, I'm excited to see her. The tickets aren't technically $25, there are $15 and $17 tickets, and with Ticketmaster surcharges, the $17 (seated section) tickets come out to about that. I would pay more than $25 to see her. I knew her album would become one of my permanent favorites even as early as when I read the reviews.

Interesting to hear that you didn't like "Sunrise", I adore it. Linklater is a genius. We'll catch eachother some time soon tho.

I needed that time with you as much as you did. We're family Jay, and always will be. Ya know I love ya!!!

P.S. ;) the only reason I ever beat you at Mario Cart is because I pick Toad. I learned that from other gamers - he's the easiest to control. Damn that Princess and her turns - I'm serious - when that game first came out I used her and never won. Bitch.

My secrets have been revealed. Next time I'll try Luigi and see how far I get.

Your comment reminded me of a ridiculously cheesy Randy Newman song from James and the Giant Peach called "Family". So true.

Alas, I am beginning to accept that I have been led astray by the Princess in Mario Cart. It is a combination of being predisposed to pick the girl by default in any situation that there is only one girl, and the fact that the Princess has always been the best player on Mario 2. I was so used to being her on Mario 2 that when Mario Cart first came out, I naturally chose her out of habit and never turned back. I am fiercely loyal to my Nintento characters.

Anytime time I can be cheezy like Randy Newman, I will :)

I so have the same thing with the whole - if there is only one girl. And everybody knows - Mario 2 - your a dumb ass if you don't use the Princess - she floats for heavens sake. Fucking Luigi runs around like a coked out idiot. Toad can't jump that high. Mario...he's just plain boring.

This too shall pass, but the question that plagues me is "When?" I will be alright, I always eventually am somehow. As far as Thanksgiving is concerned, I'm still not sure what I'm doing. The decision of whether to go home or not will probably not come until the last minute on Wednesday night. Until then, thank you for keeping the invitation open! I just have personal demons to contend with. :)
