Brendan came into town for a visit and it was fun. He stayed with Maria, if you were wondering. It's interesting how you can still feel like a tourist in the place you live sometimes. So, this cold weather was all fun and games until last night. Yeah, it's true that I was colder than I have ever been before when I had to wait for the bus at 6:30 AM with the temperature hovering at -9 and the windchill around -30. I have not left my apartment since about 5 PM Friday, and I will not leave it until work makes me on Monday morning. Yes, it is that damn cold...or so I imagine, since I haven't actually been outside. I do know that I have to wear socks indoors or else my feet will freeze on the floor. It's a rainy, grey day today and it makes me realize that we haven't had a day like this in awhile. The gloominess actually allowed me to "sleep in," which means that I slept until almost 9! I went to the dentist today for the first time in four years? Maybe it's more like 4 1/2, but that's not the point.
