Why is it that I must insist upon arriving early to every function but never seem to manage it? High school is admittedly more important than ones average social function but the same principles apply ( Read more... )

Just hold your nose and dive in. People gossip a lot here, but they're fairly forgiving. Most of them, anyway.

I wouldn't worry about being ostracized. It's not as bad as it seems, and you can always return from it, usually a far better person for the experience.

You seem like an interesting fellow. What classes do you take? I may have seen you in one of mine, but I'm unsure.

Perhaps I should ensure I am ostracized in order to return a better person? Seriously, I suppose the whole experience of education would be easier were I not ostracized. Never mind.

Hmm, you seem rather familiar too, come to think of it. Correct me if i'm wrong but I do believe I take both English and Creative Writing with you.

I suggest being yourself. It's worked wonders for me.

And yes, we do share those classes. Perhaps at some point we could chat after class.

Ah, what words of wisdom. It helps to have people knock some sense into you. I'm sure you're right and if i'm myself I will discover some fine people.

A chat after class sounds like a good idea.

I can't tell from your post whether you're a social butterfly or an anti-social buzzard. The convenient paradox at this school: if you're the latter, you'll be the most popular guy around.
But if you're into intelligent conversation/cigarettes/booze, we should definitely chill sometime. Post your sched when you get a chance.

I shall just call myself an anti-social butterfly for the time being. Let's see if people take to me.

Intelligent conversation, cigarettes and booze are what I love for my dear fellow. If you like them half as much as I do then I believe we shall get along rather well. Are there any similarities in our schedules? I rather hope there are.

Block 1 - biology
Block 2 - english
Block 3 - film studies
Lunch - french
Block 4 - spare
Block 5 - creative writing
Block 6 - 18th/19th century literature

Don't fret--this too shall pass. I had very similar feelings to these when I entered the school a little while ago. Some of the people here are intellectually intimidating, but you'll find your niche--everyone does.

You sound like an interesting fellow--maybe we could have coffee together sometime, talk about life? Let me know.

[[ooc--I've been assigned your bio for the webpage, and I know nothing about your character, so it might be a good idea if we talk on AIM at some point anyway.]]

Talk about life, hey? Haven't done that in a while. Coffee sounds rather nice.
