Word has come out today that original Trekkie James Doohan, aka Chief Engineer Montgomery "Scottie" Scott, passed away at age 85 due to complications from pneumonia and Alzheimer's disease.  I join the legion of other Trekkies in sending my condolences out to his wife, Wende, his children, and all of his family and friends.
