cooney sounds like it's half pet name and half derogatory word.
"what's that cooney doing over there? hey cooney! get over here and make some pies."
"how's my little cooney?"
i looked it up and it didn't have anything on it.

I also liked that the antonym of wife is husband. It's more of a counterpart than antonym. The opposite of mom isn't dad. Or is it?

Yeah, I agree. The opposite of a wife is probably a young girl who's being raped.

the word for wife in spanish is also the word for handcuffs.
esposa = wife
esposas = handcuffs
