misty and i are in the market for a new camcorder. we would like a "hard drive" camera, so we dont need film of anykind. we want it to be able to pick up the speed of fighting, and we would like it to be able to plug in to the computer and put it online easily. all this while knowing we are not very computer savy and only want to spend about $300 ( Read more... )

For what you really want to do, I wouldn't bother just going for a video only camera. All the video and pictures I take are with this camera...

does the standard battery last along time?
does the video card hold alot?

I have a second battery, because I always find it a good idea to have a backup. I don't generally need to replace a battery during the course of a normal length event....and of course I am generally shooting a lot of video and pictures :)

I have 2 4Gig cards, but that is more to be able to give one card to Arminius to download to his computer and one in the camera. You would have to work really, really hard to fill a card that size.
