no, I think it's the opposite. Sam got married to another hobbit and Frodo's response is, "I'm leaving on the elf ship forever" obviously there was some hobbit love drama going on.

oh they did, they totally did. People just can't say it, because lord of the rings is like the "oh this kind of magic is ok" poster child for the fundamentalist christians. And gay hobbits just wouldn't fly.
