As promised to Angel after my utter fail at posting something short and fandom-related on the anoncomm yesterday, I give to you a rant of the turtle variety.

NICE. I have big time issues with how Raph and Mikey are portrayed in the 2k3 show. SRSLY...they couldn't have made them any more uninteresting if they tried. Mikey is on an everlasting sugar high and Raph is someone's disgruntled chain smoking father. While I love the show, my two fave turtles were a little jacked-up in their characterizations :C I agree that Mikey was bad-ass sometimes but...Raphie didn't get one awesome episode! "Lone Raph and Cub" left a lot to be desired by us fans ]:<

2k3 Leo is WIN. The combo of naivete, craziness, smoosh, and badass-ness is <3 Donny was a TOTAL DICK in the movie and you made me LOL by pointing that out XD I think my fave version of him is movie 1 with a little bit of the 80's toon. I like him to be a little bit of a wise ass but nothing so bad that his brothers feel like punching his face in O.o

I-I'm a terrible fan when it comes to the live action movies. The costumes scare me, so I've never seen any of them all the way through >___>

Plus, I'm so attached to hippie!genius Don. I don't think I could let him goooooo.

Oh ho ho! Excellent examples. See, I don't really see those emotional outbursts as being enough to characterize Don's entire personality as "snappish". Everyone has their moments of frustration, especially under these types of circumstances.

The first example, for instance, Raph literally expected Don to go ahead and disarm a nuclear warhead like it's nothing, not even paying mind to the dangers of it. It's a testimony to his pacifist nature that he'd actually want to run away from this mess and avoid a fight. Yes, a whole lot of people would have died. But to the turtles (especially the Mirage turtles), their family means a heck of a lot more than a bunch of faceless humans ( ... )
