Sandy and I looked at a new place today. It is a lot bigger, and the price is right, but I have reservations. We're gonna think about it a while and go back with a tape measure, to see if we can arrange furniture in appropriate ways. I wish we could trade half the kitchen space for more bedroom, but I suppose there are worse decisions one can be ( Read more... )

No shit! You are most welcome, sir, as are any friends you'd care to bring. I'll add you to the list. Have you ever used Airsoft stuff before? I hear that's one nasty paintball team you're on, btw.

I haven't but Pe' has (not sure if you know him or not). Don't let this get out, but I am more excited for this game than for the new MJ sci-fi game coming out because of your weapon choice. ;)

Hehe, thanks. We try :) If you're up for it, you are more than welcome to join us for a game sometime. Check us out ydpaintball.com

Yeah, uh, there's no profit in that. :(

I am seriously interested in helping out with this. I was dead serious about busting out my scrubs and reprising Ambrose Chase, M.D. There is something about a faux firearm that makes that character work that a frickin' Nerf gun doesn't really provide.

Your guns. Were they cheap or expensive? I was looking online and was kind of shocked at how cheap Airsoft guns were. I was expecting prices at least double if not orders of magnitude larger than I saw.

This little purchase experiment dictated that I buy guns that cost no more than $12 for pistols, and $30 for a rifle. I got these at www.hobbytron.com. I think they're more than worth what I paid for them, honestly, but they're not top-of-the-line. If we're gonna have a decent stock of NPC weaponry, it's essential that we buy the cheap-ass guns.

I was avoiding anything spring-powered (usually prefaced by the word "spring" in the product description) because it's kind of silly to have to manually cock a pistol with each shot. If I wanted to do that shit, I'd buy yet another Nerf gun. For single-action rifles, or shotguns, springs are great, but for assault rifles and most modern arms, AEG or electric guns are the way to go.

My unsolicited advice is browse around. Check out our weapons safety guidelines at our Yahoo! group and maybe read some consumer reviews. Oh yeah, btw, I just invited you.

website, yahoo group, email list, anything? I'd love to check it out. I'm still a little bummed that I couldn't make airsoft fly for our zombie game, though wearing face protection in midsummer with latex gets rough.

COOL!!
BTW, I just saw online that Modell's Sporting Goods carries Airsoft guns and gear. Then I remembered I have 90 bucks in gift cards for Modell's from the last two Christmases. Guess where I'm headed today?
