I worked the local NPR pledge drive yesterday, 9:30-2:00PM.  It was my day off.  I was very excited for the chance to volunteer at NPR.  Last pledge drive was in October and I made the mistake of checking for volunteer opportunities a mere 2 weeks ahead of time.  They were all full up.  This time, when I received the email in December, I sprang.   ( Read more... )

 In this NYTimes article, a Feng Shui master shows off the living cube inside his studio apartment.  It looks pretty cool.  The most amazing part by far though is the tea room up top (click for best image), which just left me exploring the internet for affordable ways to put a wa-room into a yo-house.  (Wa=Japanese style, Yo=Western style)
