I like that Dean connects with this kid, as he's wont to do, and that it turns out to have bearing on their hunt. Dean with kids is always a joy!

Creative use of the prompt. :) I like how a seemingly random encounter winds up giving them a break in the case. And I loved this exchange:

“This being a graveyard and all. Couldn’t find a park to sit in? There’s one smack in the middle of town.”

Ah, little smartass.

“Yeah, I saw it earlier. I like it here better,” Dean said. “How about you? What are you doing here? Couldn’t find a decent playground? I think I saw one in town.”

I think the Winchester sometimes deserve a break too.

And that exchange had been hanging around in my head for some time. I was just waiting for the right fic to come along.

I agree with embroiderama up there; Dean plus a kid is always a good thing.

And I like how random circumstance gives Dean what he needs.

So...this going to become part of a bigger story? *winks*

Bigger story? Darn you woman! You've just send me one of those plot bunnies of yours to come and stalk me, haven't you?

Sigh...okay yeah I'll think about it...

To tell you the truth I've was thinking about making this one part of something bigger. I've been planning to do a John & Dean story anyway and I think it will be very interesting to make the kid a part of this hunt somehow.

That was a really nice little fic. I actually did the head back thing at the end. Didn't see that coming at the end of the scene. :) Nice.
