That was awesome! I love how you had both Jim and John join in the fight. (A person is never to old to play in the snow, and if someone says otherwise tackle them and stuff snow down their paints. It is really fun *grins*) Great fic! I had fun reading it.

Well, you're talking to someone who is an expert in midnight snowball fights. My Dad would always wake my brother and me up if there was snow (we get very little of that here). Great fun!

Thanks!! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

*wraps up in your story like it's a warm blanket*

You always have such a nice way with humanizing John, and making Jim a real character. It's hard to remember sometimes just how little of him we ever got.

Thanks for this toe-freezing, heart-warming read. :)

Well, John is very much a human being under that hard outer shell. I've made it my personal crusade to make sure nobody forgets that. LOL!

And Jim...sigh...

I miss them both. Sniff..

Thanks for your awesome comment, K.!

I love this--the fun of the "old" guys mixing it up in the snowball fight and then the sadness of John knowing that Sam is going to pull away. *sigh*

Yeah, I think John has always seen that day coming. He knew he couldn't hang on to his sons if they really wanted to go and that's why he fought so hard to keep them.

It must have been hard on them all.

Thanks!!

Nice job. I really got a kick out of Jim cursing a blue streak and Sam's "Dude!"

Very nice. Leaves me feeling all warm inside. Do you mind if I friend?

Yeah, that bit had me grinning like an idiot when I wrote it. I could see Sam's face there, all big eyes, mouth open. He must have been used to his Dad and brother cursing a lot, but with Jim being a preacher and all...

It's so good to hear you felt all warm after this. It's exactly what I felt writing it. I'm so hoping we're getting serious snow this winter.

And sure, friend away!!
