I wish I could better describe what Greece is like in writing. As it is, I have not gotten out into Athens and the area surrounding Pikermi (the town I'm in) nearly as much as I should have, or would like to. The really beautiful thing about being here has been the people I'm with, both the Greek students and my fellow Alpha students.

I haven't posted in forever.  It's been at least a month, probably a bit longer.  Spring break went well.  It was a weird transition coming back to school, especially since I went home again for a weekend two weeks after getting back for spring break.  Now that I'm back for good (or till the end of the semester- which is only a month!!) it's easier ( Read more... )

I'm home!  Yay!  I got home late last night.  My flight went pretty well.  I went over there with a few girls from Moody, so I was able to wait with them for awile before I went to my gate, so that helped the time pass.  Right now I'm drinking tea with my mother.  It's so good to be home again.  It's almost weird in its normalcy.  It feels like I' ( Read more... )

I'm going to Greece!!!!!!!
I've applied to Moody to study abroad, and they told that I'm approved, and that if I'm approved by them that means that I'll be approved by the school in Greece too.  So I'm in.  I still have to apply, and there's a bunch of stuff I'll need to do to get ready, but I'm going.  I'll be going for the fall, so I'll be there ( Read more... )

I just wanted to let everyone who's reading know, that I am applying to study abroad in Greece next year. The school I'd be attending is called Greek Bible Institute, and it's near Athens.  I'd be taking mostly Bible courses while I was there, since they don't really have linguistic classes available.  It's taught in English, but I would be able to ( Read more... )
