You are not crazy, Katie. I'm not trying to belittle your experience, I can't even imagine how out of control you feel right now. No one expects you to be rational and level headed about all -or any- of this. Life is a total shit storm right now. Getting by, however you guys have to, is what's important. It's hard, it sucks, and this whole thing is so fucked. I can't tell you "you'll come out the other side stronger" that's bullshit, I'm not going to be a fake asshole. You'll come out the other side adapted. A different K-Jeff, but the same in the important ways. I don't believe in faith, or hope, or fate. I do believe shit works out in the end, and like my mom says "if it's not okay, it's not the end." Wading through bullshit takes time. Stick with Mom. She needs it. I think you do too. And know if any of us could do anything to make this better we would. But like your mom says "It's not that it's necessarily important to feel shitty, it just is." You don't have to do this alone, you're not alone.
