this is a tough one...i automatically deduct draco, and prof. quirrel.i would deduct wormtail too as in the long run he is a coward and also now owes a life debt to harry.that leaves lucius, severus, and barty crouch jr..now with lucius, he hasnt done anything directly yet but has had a hand in things(putting the diary of tom riddle in ginny's cauldron, and rejoining lord voldemort as a deatheater).severus has killed dumbledore which is probaly the most horrible thing to happen in the series yet, tho i still have might doubt on how evil he really is..barty crouch's action can be seen in the latest movie.he is definately not nice...if i had to give a answer at this point(as in without the last book being out) it would probaly go to severus, but as said before i doubt his evilness even after killing dumbledore,as dumbledore has always trusted him.so without the 7th book this question is quite a tough one.

i almost have to deduct barty crouch jr simply because of limited appearence in the story. but then again that could be a surprise rowling's going to pull out of her ass in the end. as far as direct threat to harry, draco's got the most contact with him even though it does seem he's more arrogant bark than bite. snape also has a lot of immediate contact with harry, not to mention a mastery of potions and past involvement with the death eaters. obviously he's playing both sides, but to benifit whom? lucius on the other hand is very influential with the ministry and could be a big threat on a broader scale.
so yeah. long story short. i don't know.

i'v still got issues on which side snape is playing and if dumblebore is really dead or not (because of snape or coz od dumbledore's cunning, i'm not sure either way...assuming he isn't dead).

although it came close, i'm gonna have to agree with you guys and say that it would be snape. lucius is a close second though.
and truth be told, i'm not going into this on the internet for the simple reason that i could talk for hours upon this subject alone coz i'm a dork like that.

Maybe Snape, since well, he deceived everybody until he killed dumbledore.
