Better late than never

Lately, the stress of maintaining a full-time schedule for a deadline-oriented career, while keeping up with an infant who refuses to sleep has taken it's toll. I have nobody to talk to. S is tired of hearing it, and other mothers I know are stay-at-home moms, or else they're competitiveness prevents me from admitting any weakness

i'm so sorry to hear that you're still having trouble getting him to sleep. just when you're at the point in life when you've finally decided you need to sleep... z comes along.

I know. The irony is enough to make me want to kick someone in the pant leg. And truly, I've never been fond of or good at sleeping, so I have a lot of nerve expecting it from him. =P
