I'd have to agree with other people's doubt regarding this. There seems some religious dogma tied into this argument and although Albert Einstein believed in God... there's no evidence to suggest that he subscribed to the sort of religious ideas found in this argument.

It's also interesting to note that the story makes specific mention of the Christian faith when Einstein was Jewish.

Oh. Cool. Sorry hon, but history was the only subject in school I hated more than math and science. So I probably slept through the day that was taught. *blush*

i think the einstein idea was thrown into it to give it more "power with the people" or touch the people more or whatever...... but i do know it has happened in the past, a friend of my parents... can't remember who, it was talked about at one of their get togethers with like 5 or 6 diff families.. .but yah... one of my parents friends had this happen at their college.... anyway though... yah... i've heard this story multiple times, whehter from someone who witnessed it, or someone reading this story.......
