I kind of want short hair all of a sudden. Like, one of those cutesy boy short haircuts. I think the show Shear Genius is infecting my brain, but I think I'd look pretty sexy with nothing to hide behind. However, if it wasn't the right short cut, I'd look awful for a long time.

i had hair past my ass for almost 20 years. then i cut it all on a whim. now i have boy hair.

please ignore the fact that my boyfriend and i are half asleep in this photo...

anyway. my hair is much healthier than it was when it was long (partly because i cut all the dyed parts out... although now it is back to being dyed red again...)

and my hair grows wicked fast now that its short. its a nice change. im growing it out a little, but not as long as it was originally.

i say do it. you know what i told you. the hair you have is old -- as in, it's been on your head for three years. it feels good to have new hair all the time. plus short hair is sooooooo easy to keep up. i wash mine ONCE A WEEK and it looks perpetually awesome times ten.

i'm thinking about doing a sweet ass colour job in the next month or so. after i get a real paycheck (that's not like, twenty dollars for working three days before the pay period) i'm going to dye it darkdark blue (almost a blackish blue, maybe i'll even have black mixed in with the dye) fading to vibrant purple fading to bright pink. mohawk is still an option as well...
