I'm probably on the road to home-un-ownership myself, but its been a satisfying experience even with all the frustrations and hard work that come with it.
Where'd you pick up couches? I have everything except a couch at the apartment. Oh, and a fridge. :D

I went to this place in Torrance called Thomas International. It's pretty good. I love the couches. They apparently have a clearance center in Gardena and I keep meaning to go down there to look at their stuff but never made it.
You should still be able to find the no interest for the next 3 years deal ... I started out at Wickes Furniture because of those deals but they wouldn't bargain and I ended up with couches from Thomas International for much cheaper (just no special deals of 'no interest or payment for 36 mos)

Let me know if you don't find it. One of my old roommate actually had his couch custom made for a fraction of the price at the local store. He's conveniently located in West LA ... I think Santa Monica/Sepulveda area (?)
