An unexpected three-day weekend!

For once, I'm not feeling that horrible where-has-the-weekend-gone?! panic, and it's all thanks to mother nature. As expected, Friday morning I woke up to see this outside our apartment window (excuse the angle -- PhotoBucket is not cooperating with me tonight):

Unexpected 3-day snow weekends are the best aren't they!We had one too so I'm also not feeling that same usual Sunday stress.

Way to go for being so productive! I love your tree! The story of you and Dave's decorating drama is too cute. I can totally see him feeling all proud with his colorful lights and ornaments thinking he's making a real contribution, but having NO clue about how to keep to a certain theme or color scheme :) Classic. I love that you kindly hung all his ornaments, but have them strategically placed ;)

It was definitely one of those pick-your-battle moments! Ugh, I still semi-groan/laugh when thinking about how hideous our tree looked!

Love the tree. So funny that we share the same tree decorating problem. I wish I could have hung all of Mike's decorations on the back too!
I am looking forward to hearing what you think of the end of Something Borrowed, I read it a while ago and felt similarly...couldn't put it down, but wasn't particularly impressed :)

Well, I finished the book last night, and I'm still unsure of what to make of it. I was satisfied with how it ended, but my main issue with the book is that I felt the author kept trying to switch how the reader felt about the characters. One second she wanted us to really like Dex, and we were cheering for him to end up with Rachel, the next minute she has us thinking Dex is a spineless loser, and then the NEXT minute we're expected to be back siding with him. I am analyzing this book WAY more than it deserves, but things like that really irk me. I can't say I'll be running to buy the next one in the series, but knowing myself, I'll probably end up reading it anyway.
