I come to take you up on your Mac offer ... :)

I'm having a mouse issue, was curious if you could perhaps give me an idea about fixing it. I'm currently using an older Microsfot (boo hiss i know :)) mouse on my iMac and for the life of me I can't get World of Warcraft to see Button 3 (scroll wheel), Button four or Button five in game -- it always records as a left arrow, right arrow situation with the middle button doing nothing.

I've tried the MS software itself as well as the program Steermouse to see if that would help and so far no dice.

Just curious if you had any experience with getting a mouse to register in WoW specifically correctly. Works fine on the PC, obviously, but not here on the Mac. Perhaps if you know you have one specific mouse that works for you, Logitech or whatever, I'm open to grabbing a new one as well.

Rambling 3 AM post here, I know. :)

I use the Logitech Mx mouse and had to get the drivers for it. Inside of WOW, I'm assuming you've gone to the key bindings - and unbound the key - then pressed the mouse button you want to GO with that key, yes? And it's not registering.

I'm using the Logitech Control Panel downloaded from the logitech website. Generally you can find drivers for it under "Support".

If you're using a Microsoft Mouse - I would check to see if they have Mac Drivers available. But yes, I had the same problem you do - and it was only fixed when Logitech released a driver for my mouse.

I mimicked you ... just picked up a Logitech MX400 mouse and am playing with it now. The MS mouse was ancient, one of the first Intellimice, so figured I was due for an upgrade.

I tried the MS drivers on the original mouse and just wasn't able to get it going in WoW aside from assigning keyclicks to it -- clear or whatever. Tried that third party software, that people recommended on a OSX list I'm on and didn't have any better luck there.

For example the main problem I'm having is with Healbot -- amazingly needed for the Priest -- where it didn't register mouse button 3 or 4, or even the scroll wheel click, as usable keys. They didn't work so was trying to figure out how to get them working.

On the PC they work fine, same settings. It sees them as the proper Mouse Button 3, 4, scroll click.

Happy Birthday girl.

::sniffs:: It's advanced pixellated cartoon magic. 500 Level course, I believe. ^_^

okay, I so can't hold a straight face. No, I keep these at the top so they're easy to find by putting the date of the post WAY ahead - and then checking "Date out of Order". That way I don't have to go searching for them. ^_^
