The fire in the Bangladesh clothes factory did make me wonder:
Do the women who make our clothes go home safely?I haven't really considered thus far where the clothes I have bought from shopping malls retailers come from, but seeing the ruins of the Dhaka factory and the people in there - rescuers and families, made me ask myself this question ( Read more... ) -
Days go by...
I had some books in my small, but hopefully growing library, I had started to read but for various reasons left behind unfinished. So they were waiting for me to return to them and it seems the time to do this has come.
It felt like clearing out skeletons sitting in the closet, so to say, but was I glad I did so?

Finally it seems like the arctic chill that had us all in its tight grip since the end of January has loosened up a little. I would like to think that the worst of the winter is already behind our backs, but I am not so sure. Not with the mountains of snow piled on the streets and the knee-deep drifts. Outside it's been snowing heavily all day long... And it most definitely doesn't feel like a fairy tale!
The almost snow-less winter so far was too good to be true *sigh*
Walking the snow covered streets is a real challenge for your boots and balance, too. -
Exam's aftermath
...And another exam passed! JLPT N5 is already well behind my back! What am I going to do now that I don't have other exams to study for :-)) !? On another note I can't believe they really used a cassette and a cassette player for the listening on the JLPT, could have been better, but there's nothing to do about it now. I still feel bad as I remember how I must have seemed like an outsider, and most definitely I felt like one.
But to regret something you've never had, that's too much, it never was this worthy to begin with.
