JUST A LITTLE GATHERING IN COLOGNE

I attended the Con in Cologne on March 20-22. It started out as just a gathering of fans who had attended some of Cons but then Elke got Randy to commit to attend. Once he was signed, she decided to get Dean Armstrong who played Blake and Makyla Smith Deleo who played Daphne to attend which made for a very different but lively event.

Hi Dixie, thank you for your long post and reminding me of little things. We enjoyed that weekend so much! I haven't seen any negative comments from anyone yet. Esp. Nicki is still in a good mood because of it, despite all the work we have to do.

Did you see my photo of Makyla in the recliner? I took one of Randy lying in it, too. (Of course I asked both first, if I could take them.)

It is always a pleasant surprise to see the two of you when I attend the Cons. I read the report in your LJ and found your take on the weekend very interesting. You always express things so well and I just ramble on about what I observed and hope others enjoy.

I did see your picture of Makyla in the recliner and thought she was so cute with her plate on her tummy.

Its very interested to read what Randy interest and what the others has been up to since the show ended.

You're welcome. There is always something new to learn about the cast from each Con. Having two new people attend and hear about their lives and how the show affected them was a new experience. Seeing Randy and Makyla reconnect was a bonus.

Thanks for posting your report .I especially enjoyed reading Randy and Makyla reunion and that there's the chemistry still there.

if there's a Con in Austin,Texas this year .I will certainty would like to go and if the actors from Qaf will be attending.I also think that it should be handled over to the us,the US fans so we can organized more Cons preferably in the States.

I gather the fans were more respectful on Randy's table as he's not comfortable with a rowdy fans.

Randy and Makyla were just like Justin and Daphne when they reconnected. They like each other.

There is not a QAF Con in Austin. It is the ATX Film Festival and several different TV shows will have panels. QAF is just one of them. Organizing a QAF Con is a big, big job and the one in L.A. almost tanked until Elke who started the first Con in Cologne took over and pulled it out of the fire. I would hope that someone in the U.S. could put one together as well but, so far, no one has risen to the occasion.

I was not at Randy's table but as you can see from one of the comments above from someone who was, they were having a good time too but in a different way.

I didn't take any photos since there are always so many others who do and post. I'd rather pay more attention to what is happening in front of me than worrying about getting a good shot.

Dixie, what a wonderful report. I recall a brief interview Makayla gave during - perhaps - S1 of QAF. Don't recall if it was a print magazine or on on-line zine.

She said she and Randy would hang out between takes and during lunch breaks. She said he kept her laughing all the time and she told a story about being on a break from a location shot in Toronto and she and Randy went into an "ADULT" store (It may have been the one they actually used for scenes in a couple shows - remember when Ted and Mel went into one to look for a birthday gift for Michael? ) Anyway, she said she and Randy were bouncing around in the aisles, laughing and carrying on and the owner recognized them and asked if he could take a photo of the two of them. IIRC, Randy grabbed a dildo and held it while the guy took a photo. The owner put the picture in his front window or near the cash register, but he was eventually asked to take it down(by the production people, I think)
