ADVICE

Sep 06, 2006 08:45

To all my friends who post on Livejournal, please allow me a moment to offer some very good advice. Be very careful what you post on Livejournal...especially those things that you do not restrict. My advice is don't put anything on there that you wouldn't want the whole world to read. I would also be extremely careful about the comments posted ( Read more... )

This is my soapbox too!

And don't forget about FaceBook!

You may think your personal life is separate from who you are at work or how you should be perceived at work or church or volunteer work, but when it all boils down to it...People look at everything! If it is on the internet is is public domain...even if you lock it and think it is private...there are ways for people to get your information...

Just be smart and very careful what you write and what others write on your journals

i agree, nothing like compartmentalzing sin. we all do it, but there are some folks who seem to live two entirely different lives, one at camp and the other the rest of the time.

great Post mr. hill...i mean rev. hill!

one of my youth, Stewey, went through rush at auburn this year and her rush counselor told all the girls to "clean up their facebook" the night before rush began. she said ALL of the sororities were looking at facebook to get an idea of what type of girls are going through rush. when you have to make a decision about inviting a girl back to a party in a 15 minute conversation it's hard to do- but if you have facebook information, the good, the bad and ugly, sometimes it's easier to make that decision!

Preach on, Brother John! It stinks for folks who are still becoming who they're going to be (did that just sound like a bad valedictorian's speech?). BUT, I really worry for folks in Generation Y who don't realize they don't have to post everything.
