oh man, i had such a good birthday. work was eventful, but fine and mary (my beautiful birthday twin co-volunteer at jhouse)and i snuck out between hospital visits for a slice of vegan cake, and my housemates made me padd thai and edamame and blueberry cake, and then we met up with a handful of people i adore at the wonderland, and somehow biked it ( Read more... )

so, i was accepted into discipleship year, which means i'll be here in DC, working at Joseph's house for another august-august year, but living w/ a different community. basically the same as lutheran volunteer corps, that i'm in this year, but next year i work one less day a week (only 32 hours. sweet.), take a class at a social justice/ faith ( Read more... )
