 Made of Blood

Fingering the stapler
I leaned hard
on my sense 
of immortality 
ka-chunk
into the delicate flesh
of determination
and spite
one forced down
to the other
stretching for height
I plucked it out
letting each pillar resume 
their usual composure
but instant reality 
stained my pocket
with interior proclamation

Things are really starting to turn around for me. I'm moving into my new apartment tomorrow. I've made friends, I got into Chicago at Mc which should just be plain old fun, and I've met a guy I enjoy spending time with, which should jsut be plain old fun.

 How do i proceed. I am the luckiest and the least lucky; and the luckiest. I guess I just continue. It's not that hard with time passing. Everyday gets so microscopically better that eventually it shows. And today I feel lucky to be here.

wow....so basically I feel like I got hit by a bus. Lets recap: Moved in with adam, loved adam, was planning to come back and live and be happy with adam for many if not all years to come.

Went to Africa, friend died, had physical collapse due to virus, couldn't walk for several weeks, couldn't finish the tour, adam left me for someone else and ( Read more... )
