Hello! I'm giddy about new Who episodes. Funny that I'm finally getting fandomish now, given that I've been watching off-and-on since I was 13 and fell for Five and his coterie (huh, I suppose DW was indeed my first fandom!) I've rewatched a lot of episodes in the past few weeks, and now I'm shipping River and Eleven pretty hard -- despite my previous "No Romance on the TARDIS" policy. ;)

My LJ participation is sporadic these days too, months and months between posts. Though I've had a little flurry of activity the last week or so. I'm sure it will be short lived and I'll hibernate again, lol.

I'm so pleased you're enjoying your new teaching job. It's scary doing new things sometimes, and if you're anything like me you like routine and comfort zones and hate being forced out of them.

Have you watched Katee in Longmire? Her role isn't as meaty and controversial as Starbuck but she still brings that light and energy and spunk which she does so well. I'm planning on doing a shallow and pretty post soon - just for old times sake.

Oh, I forgot to say 10 years is amazing! I'm coming up to 7 years in a couple of weeks. How time flies.

Hello! I need to catch up on what you're doing! I'd totally forgotten that KatieCon is happening this weekend, right downtown. Oops. Though I've always been a bit weird about seeing the actors in person. Plus, I've fallen so far out of fandom that I have no idea if any of the old friends in town would be interested in getting together. ;)

Longmire was pretty good, albeit not as good as it could've been. Funny story, though: last week my class did Native American religions. As teen boys are wont to do, one of them asked me, "What happens if someone gets killed on the Reservation?" I just sputtered some BS from what I'd seen on the TV show. *g*
