Honestly, I think anything you do with the Angels will make more logical sense than what Moffat did with them. Not that I hated the episode as a whole, but the plot was hinged upon Insane Troll Logic.

If'n you need a beta, I'd be happy to serve!

As always, I liked the episode more than just about everyone else did, but it had some significant problems. I appreciated this comment from the NYMag reviewer, though I'll admit that even though the emotions appealed to me, they were rather manipulative.

As a viewer, you must hang onto the emotions and the characterizations and the feel and the atmosphere of the episode in order for it to work, because if you look too closely, events and assertions quickly begin unraveling. Here is the conundrum of this episode, and much of Doctor Who in general these days. You either choose to enjoy the series for everything it brings to the table, or dismiss it for what it doesn’t.

And thanks for the beta offer! I just really want to write some River fic (or, hell, any fic at all after two years. *sigh*). This morning I started off mulling over a straightforward post-ep, but now I'm toying with something like "Four Birthdays and One _____." But that's about as far as I've gotten. ;)

I turned to my roommate and asked the same questions about Carrie and Brody. They are ridiculously hot and fucked up together. It makes for great television.
