My Godchild (10 yrs old) is throwing her mother a surprise birthday party tonight. She cooked yesterday. Had a recipe for making deviled eggs. My last day at work was March 30th. It was an interesting last week. 10 years almost to the day. I do miss it. My start date with the state is supposedly April 16th but we are waiting for the personnel board which means it could be a couple more weeks. Vacation is one thing but this is different. I'm officially out of a job! My last day was Friday. I'd been there for 10 years first as a contractor and then as an employee. They gave me 5 months notice that my job was going away. Got off early Friday and didn't do much of anything. Bart has been throwing up his food lately - yuck! Sometimes it is just liquid and sometimes the food is still whole. Phil just called. He made it to his folks home in AL. He really wasn't looking forward to the trip. Still working on getting his dad in a nursing home.
