I gave everything.

Mind.

Heart.

Body.

Soul.

Along with that; love, trust, honor, loyalty, and respect.

Everything that was asked for. Everything that was expected. Every single thing for a period of several years.

The ruined mascara fits SO well with the rain-washed painting description in the other side of this story. The imagery here was very vivid-- especially the carnival atmosphere and the way its brightness becomes a lie once the audience is gone.

I like that the reader gets the sense of the Ringmaster being sinister, even though the narrator doesn't see it. But the eventual outcome seems inevitable to me. I just don't understand her wanting to live her life this way.

Bringing_words is an awesome writer. I loved working with her.

As for the girl wanting to live her life this way, I think the biggest part of it is that this is all she truly knows. She has never known anything else to exist outside of this life.

There's nothing worse than feeling abandoned, and nothing sweeter than when you meet the person who you think can "save" you. You captured this very well!

Thank you. Lucky (or unlucky?) for me, I have experienced both and even within short time of one another. So while one feeling is still fresh, it was easy to remember.
