Looks like someone's well prepared, eh. Just get back from a mission?

Definitely. Not a day goes by that I don't miss them. But when I do see them again, I'd like to have something to show for all of it. Some way I can protect them better, eh.

[a soft smile; she'd been thinking along the same lines when she decided to join] Lucky that the Garden's picking us up, then.

[takes a sip of tea] So, you think they're gonna get all of us back to where we came?

Indeed.

[Tilts his head a little like a bird and arches an eyebrow.] ... Yes. One way or another. But for some I'm not always sure that's the best.

[a noncommittal] Probably.

Though they've got no reason to. After all, we're a free source of labour for 'em.

[Snorts.] Hardly. [Holds up his diamond banded ring.] We're scholarship students. If anything, we cost Cid quite a bit, he's just nice about keeping us here since the rest of the world doesn't trust outsiders much.

Shiny. [fishes out her own ring, hanging on a chain with a key] Seems we're on different teams.

It's a helluva lot cheaper than buildin' the tech to move between universes. [a lopsided smile] Trust me on this.

Don't worry about it, most of my friends are.

[Shares a sidelong grin with her.] Granted, but from everything I hear, stop the sorceress and the spell stops.

A bit of inter-agency cooperation? I like it.

Usually, when somethin' sounds that easy, it's not. Though... if the spell stops, it doesn't mean everything'll just snap back into place.

[Chuckles.] That's how I sail, eh.

Of course. There is... some line of thought that goes along how the sorceress was already stopped, and this is just the lingering aftermath of the spell that has to get set right. [A shrug.] I couldn't tell you if that's correct or not though.

[a lazy grin] Well, there aren't enough people like you about. Not in my world, at least.

Yeah? [tapping the catalogue with her pencil] It'd be helpful if they had a class on that.

Oh, I'm sure there aren't enough people like me anywhere. Though my brothers might come close. We operate by working with our divisions together.

[Shrugs.] I guess if someone could confirm it though, they'd just fix the problem, eh?

'Divisions'? Sounds complicated.

I'd hope so.

1600 man crew. It'd be difficult to lead it all by oneself, even for my Pops who's the best captain I've ever known.

It'd be more useful a class than driving at any rate.

Dunno about that. Learnin' to drive on the fly isn't fun, and you'll probably use it on a mission.
