The time one doesn't work. I'm not sure why... I mean, I didn't really want to go time traveling in a world I don't know anyway; it's just strange when the lasers and stuff are working fine.

Maybe the Time Compression is messing up the mechanics. Though it's probably a smart idea not to try anything when you don't know the history here.
