[Action]
[Clark will be walking around today, getting acquainted with the building again. Everything's the same... yet different. When you spend almost a year outside you tend to fill your memories with a few touches of your imagination. He goes to the cafeteria, the training room, his own room... he touches the walls every now and then, he's

He’s positive he’s never seen him before. He’d remember. …But something about him looks familiar. About his eyes, his hair, his face… even his heartbeat sounds familiar, sounds slightly different than normal. And then there’s the shirt- and it’d be too much of a coincidence, right?]
…Did you need anything, son?

I'm not your son.

[It's a term of endearment he uses with kids of Conner's age, he didn't think anybody would be that sensitive to it. If only he knew...]
I didn't mean to offend you. Mind if I ask though- you... look rather familiar, somehow.

[Hand at his side curls slowly into a fist.]

Are you completely sure you're not referring the wrong person, so- boy? I'm fairly sure this is our first meeting.

But you're Superman... [His brows crease together all the more.] No, we first met outside of Cadmus. The rest of the Justice League was there. I remember, why don't you?!

[He leans a bit so he's on his eye-level, then reaches to squeeze his shoulder.] Getting angry at me won't solve anything. ...But yes, that's how people call me. Are you positive we have met before?

Conner roughly shrugs off Superman's hand. He's really got a lot of pent up 'father/son' issues he's gotta work through here.] Don't touch me. And don't call me boy-- my name is Superboy.
[The last four words are like a slow staccato, emphasized. Maybe then Superman will get it.]

...Superboy? [He looks at his face now. ...Yes, he can see the resemblance. It's mostly the eyes.] Are... we related in some way?

I'm your clone.

[That leaves him speechless, if only for a few seconds. You can't really blame him though, can you? It's not everyday that you suddenly get a kid telling you he's your clone. A clone you didn't know of.]
I see. Well, I'd remember having a clone in my world. [He tilts his head] How old are you?
Reply
It doesn't matter... You didn't show much interest in me before, I doubt you will now.
[Superboy folds his arms over his chest and looks away.]

[He tilts his head] But you seem like a good boy, and I am honestly asking because I'm interested. [He reaches to run a hand through his own hair.] I understand if you don't wish to talk about it though. I didn't mean to intrude, I was merely curious.

Maybe this Superman can help him in ways the other one refused to? He could mentor him, help him gain better control of his abilities, teach him things that only he could know...]
When... they found me... the team I mean, I was sixteen weeks old. In the containment pod in... Cadmus. [Conner lowers his eyes to the ground between them.] I look sixteen years old but I have lost count since I was released.

Sixteen. ... A team found you? Which team?
